Integrations
Dynasort integrates in two ways, and both work with tools you likely already run. It reads the product reviews you collect and folds them into sorting, and it takes instructions from AI assistants through the Connector API. There are no storefront scripts and no theme changes in either case. Everything is applied through Shopify’s own APIs.
Review platforms
Section titled “Review platforms”Dynasort reads product ratings and review counts that your review app writes to Shopify as product metafields, then makes that data available as Attributes you can weight inside a Recipe. Well-reviewed products can rise to the top of a collection automatically, without you re-importing anything or adding tags.
Supported apps
Section titled “Supported apps”Dynasort automatically detects and reads review data from:
- Yotpo
- Judge.me
- Loox
- Okendo
- Junip
- HelpfulCrowd
- Trust Reviews
- Debutify Reviews
- Shopify Product Reviews
If your review app writes ratings to standard product metafields and is not on this list, it may still work. Reach out and we will check the metafield namespace on your store.
How to sort by reviews
Section titled “How to sort by reviews”- Keep using your current review app. Nothing changes on the review side.
- Confirm the review data is present on your products as a metafield. Most supported apps write this automatically.
- In Dynasort, create or edit a Recipe and add a review rating attribute.
- Give it a weight, and blend it with other signals such as sales velocity, margin, inventory, or new arrivals so the final order reflects more than stars alone.
- Apply the recipe to a collection. Dynasort re-sorts on your plan’s schedule.
- Check the collection Insights to confirm the change paid off. On Pro and Enterprise you can A/B test it for proof.
Rating alone is not enough
Section titled “Rating alone is not enough”A single five-star review is not the same as a 4.6 average across hundreds. Good review-based sorting weighs both rating and review volume so a product with one perfect score does not leapfrog a proven best seller. Because Dynasort blends review data with your other signals in one recipe, you stay in control of how much reviews influence the order.
AI assistants (the Connector)
Section titled “AI assistants (the Connector)”The Connector is a secure, token-authenticated API that lets an AI assistant manage Dynasort in plain language. Point an assistant at the API, paste the ready-made system prompt from the Connector page in the app, and you can toggle collections, assign and swap recipes, re-sort on demand, set product boosts, switch search recipes, tune settings, manage recommendation placements, and read serve analytics, all from a conversation.
Assistants that work well with the Connector include:
- Claude (Anthropic)
- ChatGPT (OpenAI)
- Any tool or script that can send authenticated HTTP requests
The Connector is available on Pro and Enterprise plans. See the Connector documentation for the full setup, the list of actions, and the copiable system prompt.
Shopify Sidekick
Section titled “Shopify Sidekick”Separately, Shopify’s own Sidekick assistant can query your Dynasort setup read-only through a set of built-in tools. This works on every plan and needs no API key. Ask Sidekick about your collections, recipes, and sorting status directly inside the Shopify admin.
No storefront footprint
Section titled “No storefront footprint”Both families of integration are read-and-apply only. Dynasort reads review data and applies every sort through Shopify’s APIs. It never injects storefront scripts and never edits your theme, so connecting your reviews or your AI assistant adds nothing to your page weight. This is part of why Dynasort is Built for Shopify certified.
